This case study infographic on blockchain explains what blockchain technology is and how it works. Blockchain is an extremely secure decentralized digital ledger that records financial transactions. Blockchain is proven to be secure with its transaction security measures, such as encryption, anonymity, unchangeability, and tamper-proof software.

After completing this case infographic I’ve learned the inner workings of a blockchain and what it is. I learned that a blockchain is built with individual “blocks,” which hold records of financial transactions, as well as timestamps and a link to the previous block. The case study provided examples of how companies are taking advantage of blockchain technology. For example, Walmart, an extremely successful and massive company, uses blockchain technology to track their pigs throughout the transportation process.
